Awards

Two of our projects, The Children's Home Society of New Jersey and The Sovereign Bank Arena, both in Trenton, New Jersey, have been the recipients of design awards. They received the 2000 New Good Neighbor Award, given by The New Jersey Business & Industry Association. The Children's Home Society has also received an excellence award for Downtown New Jersey Development, with the Arena achieving honorable mention.
The Children's Home Society Headquarters in the Roebling Market in Trenton involved the renovation of 26,000 square feet of industrial space in the former Roebling Plant. Utilizing the high bays, we were able to create a 50,000 square foot office facility with three atriums, which allow light into the windowless interior spaces. The public reaction to the design has been beyond our expectation, eliciting to compliments to our firm from all who experience the space.
The Sovereign Bank Arena received our firm's careful attention in the coordination of interior architecture to create an attractive and intimate experience in the suites and food courts of the Club Level and throughout the facility. This project has also brought widespread acclaim to the firm as well as three design awards to date, including a Pre-Cast Concrete Award.
Cody Eckert & Associates, PA was retained to provide design services for the historic renovation and rehabilitation of the 1,800-seat New Jersey State Theater facility in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The project was completed under the pressures of an extremely difficult schedule and within the confines of established budgetary constraints. The results have successfully converted a sadly neglected and deteriorated facility in the Downtown to a stunning performing arts center. The facility has received critical acclaim from both patrons and performers. The State Theater has become a center of culture in the midst of a blossoming renaissance in downtown New Brunswick. The project was the recipient of "Excellence in Downtown Development" award.
